There are several ways to solve quadratic equations, one of which is factoring. When we solve quadratic equations by factoring we set one side of the equation to zero, and then factor the quadratic equation, so we can use the *zero product property* to determine where x = 0.

In addition to solving quadratic equations by factoring, we can also use square roots, the completing the square method, or the quadratic formula.
